CM Punk’s next pro wrestling appearance comes with its own hype video

CM Punk working closely again with an AEW adjacent event? Interesting.

For someone who at least publicly doesn’t seem all that interested in pro wrestling, CM Punk will be back talking with pro wrestling fans next month.

Today (Jul. 18) the independently run pro wrestling convention Starrcast announced that Punk will appear on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Chicago, Illinois for Starrcast III.

AEW’s ALL OUT pay-per-view will be held at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL on Saturday, Aug. 31.

Last year, Punk made an appearance during ALL IN weekend in Chicago, which featured an autograph signing at the Pro Wrestling Tees store.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Punk sounded excited by the upcoming appearance.

“A highlight is easily anytime anyone has a story. I do about one signing a year and the best part is always finding out how you’ve touched people’s lives in a meaningful way. A lot of it can be heavy; helped someone get clean, helped somehow with the loss of a loved one. I am always touched to know the private intimate stories people have.”

A real quote, CM Punk actually said aloud.

Does Punk showing up at Starrcast mean anything for a possible future with AEW?
