Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - Impact’s Slammiversary pay-per-view (PPV), the July 8 episode of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown & 205 Live on Tues, July 9, NXT UK & NXT and Beyond’s Uncharted Territory from Wednesday, this week’s Impact, ROH TV & MLW Fusion, Evolve 10th Anniversary, AEW Fight for the Fallen, New Japan’s G1 Climax night two, and any other televised or internet streaming wrestling that aired from July 7 - 13, 2019.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
We dig a heel turn...
... especially when it propels one of the best in the business back to prominence.
- NOTE: In the current timeline, John Cena is played by the guy who finished eighth in last week’s Standings.
- In second place, we have a guy whose relationship we can’t get enough of. In third and ninth, a pair internet fans would like to buy a chemistry set for.
- An return to some Attitude Era-esque antics helped a Monster smash into the S3 for the first time this year, and the WWE champ to Stone Cold salute his way into the top five for the week.
- The G1 opener may not have sold out, but wins there put the Rainmaker in sixth and the former Hideo Itami in tenth.
- His Breakout Tournament debut didn’t end the way he wanted it to, but fka Shane Strickland won a place on a lot of ballots.
