Rumors for the Day:
- AJ Styles has not been cleared to wrestle by WWE just yet but the company expects him to be back for the shows in Japan, says the Observer.
- PW Insider says Drake Maverick pitched the idea of doing the 24/7 title change at his wedding and WWE loved it. They apparently filmed more material than they’ve released but it’s unclear if it will be made available.
- For whatever it’s worth, Rusev seemed to dispute word that he asked for time off, saying “you have been fed the wrong information, dirt sheets.”
- There is “lots of talk of late regarding LAX” now that their contracts with Impact Wrestling are coming up here soon, says the Observer.
- Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Super ShowDown did 11,000 buys on pay-per-view.
