Rumor Roundup (June 13, 2019): Shane McMahon plans, Sasha Banks/WWE, SmackDown change, more!

WWE’s Twitter

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • When asking around about plans for Shane McMahon, one of WrestleVote’s sources said they could see Shane being the person who beats Kofi Kingston for the WWE title. WrestleVotes stressed this was just the source speculating.
  • According to freelance journalist Tom Colohue, Sasha Banks and WWE have been in constant contact while she’s been away from the company.
  • There’s a screenshot making the rounds claiming to show the new logo SmackDown will get when the move to Fox happens this fall.
  • Fandango was at the Performance Center yesterday, says PW Insider. The site mentions it could mean he’s in Orlando for this week’s NXT tapings.
  • Though he won’t be calling Fyter Fest, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio he expects Alex Marvez will be back with Jim Ross & Excalibur on commentary for Fight For The Fallen.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it. And check our weekly Rumor Look Back here to keep track of how often rumors turn out to be correct.
