Rumor Roundup (June 1, 2019): Wrestlers wanting out of WWE, 24/7 title plans, AOP, AEW TV, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes there are “a ton of people” from WWE who have inquired about going to AEW, and that includes a lot of folks in NXT.
  • The WON also says there have been ideas talked about for defending the 24/7 chamionship on YouTube, Instagram, and at the Perforce Center between shows.
  • PW Insider is saying AOP are scheduled to return next month, and will be working SmackDown Live events.
  • The Observer notes AEW is likely headed for a Wednesday night time slot, but there’s no official decision just yet.
  • Ring of Honor will bring back the Top Prospect tournament this summer, per PW Insider.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
