So, about those “international dates” Tony Khan and AEW are allowing Jon Moxley to work... we now know at least one of them.
On May 3, shortly after Dean Ambrose’s WWE contract expired and the video reintroducing the wrestling world to Mox hit Twitter, New Japan teased a mystery challenger for IWGP United States champ Juice Robinson. This hard-drinking, knife-wielding newcomer was promising to arrive on June 5, NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors finale show.
That’s next week. We know Moxley is back as an active wrestler and not retiring to make movies and be a park ranger. So he and New Japan decided to spill the beans.
Jon Moxley is debuting in New Japan next Wednesday:
Moxley joins Chris Jericho as an All Elite Wrestling talent working dates for New Japan. Is that a sign they’re developing more a working relationship?
Interesting times...
