Two tag matches added to Double Or Nothing

After some shots at WWE’s recent personnel issues, more teasing of a devastating new move from The Young Bucks, the signing of referee Rick Knox and the debut of a new mailbag feature, the latest episode of Being The Elite (embedded above) booked two new matches for Double Or Nothing.

Both fit the episode’s title, “Tag Team Action!” They also answer questions about what some already announced signees will be doing on the May 25 pay-per-view (PPV) from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand. First, Kenny Omega revealed a six-woman tag, pitting teams featuring AEW’s big joshi signees against one another:

Then, Berretta got called onto the carpet by Matt & Nick Jackson for extortion plot he & Chuckie T tried on last week’s BTE. Weird thing is, threatening the Youngest Bucks seems to have worked, as Best Friends are out of the pre-show Casino Battle Royal, and into a two-on-two match with All Elite’s most recent signees...

That creates a couple additional openings in the big pre-show match, and leaves AEW’s first PPV with the following card:

  • Hangman Page vs. PAC
  • The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Lucha Bros. for the AAA World Tag Team championship
  • Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho
  • Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes
  • SoCal Uncensored vs. CIMA, T-Hawk and El Lindaman
  • Dr. Britt Baker vs. Kylie Rae vs. Nyla Rose
  • Best Friends vs. Angelico & Jack Evans
  • Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki & Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho Abe & Ryo Mizunami
  • ‘Before The Bell’ Casino Battle Royal, featuring Sonny Kiss, Kip Sabian, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Brian Pillman Jr., Glacier, Sunny Daze, MJF, Joey Janela, and Dustin Thomas
