Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that they’ve been told the planned opponent for Becky Lynch at WrestleMania next year, as of right now at least, is not Stephanie McMahon, Ronda Rousey, or Charlotte Flair.
- They also say Kurt Angle is shadowing producers right now and learning the job because he’s training to become a producer.
- Per WrestleVotes, one name being discussed for the upcoming June 7 show in Saudi Arabia is “WWE Sands of Time.”
- It’s been rumored that Alexa Bliss and Buddy Murphy ended their engagement and Ryan Satin says that is indeed the case.
- The Toni Storm vs. Bea Priestley match that was scheduled for Stardom was apparently nixed by WWE because they didn’t want her working with someone from AEW, per the Observer.
