Another sign CM Punk will not be at Double Or Nothing

MMA: UFC 189-Mendes vs McGregor Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

We’re all trying to figure out what Jon Moxley is doing on May 25, or working on other theories involving the numbers 2 and 5. Post Wrestling is also out here crushing dreams of another ex-WWE Superstar showing up at All Elite Wrestling’s first pay-per-view (PPV), happening on that Saturday in Las Vegas.

CM Punk to any pro wrestling promotion is a long shot. But the Chicagoan chumming it up with The Young Bucks at a recent convention, and probably running in under a mask at a recent indie show, has been enough to keep the embers of hope burning for some.

Well, on the off chance Punk is going to do anything with AEW, it doesn’t look it will start at Double Or Nothing. That’s because he’ll be in Coachella, California calling CFFC 75 for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. The card will be broadcast on UFC’s Fight Pass streaming service.

But SoCal isn’t that far away from Vegas, Punk superfans cry! It’s not entirely impossible, I suppose. AEW’s show starts at 4PM Pacific, while CFFC 75 doesn’t kick off until 6PM. But still, it’s probably best not to get your hopes up.

Besides, this way you can save your wishful thinking for some Explicit Mox Violence at MGM Grand. Right?
