WrestleMania is the biggest event in the sport of wrestling. Since 1985, WrestleMania has been the ultimate showcase of glamour and grit in the world wrestling. Like every year, WrestleMania will be the catalyst for a change in the WWE. Fans don’t have to stop the adrenaline pumping fun after the final bell as they can enjoy sports betting online once the matches have ended.
A number of WWE superstars’ contracts will expire after WrestleMania 35. Several full-time wrestlers will be able to leave and the WWE must consider each performer’s worth before parting ways. Will the WWE still make money at the box office if these wrestlers’ contracts expire after WrestleMania 35?
Ronda Rousey
Ronda Rousey has successfully traded in the UFC for the WWE. Few have made the transitions between the two so seamlessly.
Crowds haven’t reacted favourably to Rousey, but that should be expected since she is a heel. Rousey could be swayed to leave the WWE due to the work schedule and the constant bumps she has to take.
If she wins at WrestleMania 35 against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, it doesn’t mean she won’t be leaving in the next month. So, don’t be surprised to see her go post-Mania.
Shinsuke Nakamura
Shinsuke Nakamura should have been the biggest thing in the WWE. He can work and his charisma is through the roof. But something seems to have continually stalled him from achieving bigger things.
According to reports, Nakamura’s contract expires later this year. He has nothing left to achieve in the company. If Nakamura went back to Japan and worked indie shows, he would be one of the biggest stars in wrestling. ROH, MLW, and Impact would kill to book him on their shows.
Brock Lesnar
It seems every year we get to a point when rumours of Brock Lesnar leaving make the rounds. The WWE has paid Lesnar a lot of money to stay with the company. It is arguable that Lesnar doesn’t move the needle that much these days. The WWE has become a company that people go to see rather than one individual wrestler. Would the WWE actually miss anything if Lesnar walked?
Regardless, it is likely the WWE will re-sign the former UFC fighter to another mega deal. In a year or two we will have this same conversation once more.
Batista
Dave Bautista is 50-years old. Let that sink in before you watch he and Triple H muddle their way through a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 35.
The good news is, this is expected to be Batista’s last match in the WWE. It is a bit of a surprise he returned in the first place. With a career in Hollywood to return to, there is no question this will be his last match with the company. As usual, expect Triple H to go over to make himself feel like the true boss of the company.
The Revival
The WWE’s senseless writers don’t know how to plan and book wrestling. The Revival is a perfect example as the current Raw tag champs are booked as prelim job boys despite holding the straps. Both members are unhappy with their WWE status and have already requested their releases.
Although The Revival’s contracts do not expire until 2020, the team could get their wish to leave as soon as possible. It is more likely the WWE will break them up at or post-Mania than give in to the team’s wishes.
