NJPW Wrestling Hi no Kuni results for Monday, April 29: Goto vs. Switchblade, GoD vs. Most Violent Players, and more

NJPW Global on Twitter

With G1 Supercard firmly in our rear view mirror, we’re moving on to New Japan Pro Wrestling’s spring spectacular on our way to Wrestling Dontaku at the beginning of May.

This year, there are five major shows on our plate, starting with last Saturday’s Sengoku Lord in Nagoya and this past Friday’s supersized Road to Wrestling Dontaku - Aki no Kuni Sengoku Emaki before moving onto today’s Wrestling Hi no Kuni on Monday and then Wrestling Dontaku at the end of the week, which is doubled up into a two-night affair once again. All three shows, naturally, will air live and in full on NJPW World, so why not watch along with the best pro wrestling community on the internet?

Today’s action takes place in Kumamoto’s Grand Messe Kumamoto, kicking off at a brisk 2AM Eastern / 11PM Pacific, and is headlined by a special challenge match between Chaos stalwart Hirooki Goto and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion “Switchblade” Jay White, as well as Most Violent Players challenging Guerrillas of Destiny for their IWGP Tag Team Championship.

Ren Narita, Shota Umino, & Tomoaki Honma over Toa Henare, Yota Tsuji, & Yuya Uemura by pinfall with a bridging fisherman suplex from Umino on Uemura.

Jeff Cobb, Jushin Liger, Ryusuke Taguchi, Tiger Mask IV, & YOSHI-HASHI over Suzuki-gun (El Desperado, Minoru Suzuki, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku, & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) by pinfall with Tour of the Islands from Cobb on Michinoku.

Dragon Lee & Will Ospreay over Bullet Club (HIKULEO & Taiji Ishimori) by pinfall with the OsCutter from Ospreay on HIKULEO.

Bad Luck Fale over Mikey Nicholls by pinfall with Grenade.

Juice Robinson over Chase Owens by pinfall with Pulp Friction.

Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL, SANADA, Shingo Takagi, & Tetsuya Naito) over Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Rocky Romero, SHO, Tomohiro Ishii, & YOH) by submission with Skull End from SANADA on SHO.

Guerrillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa) (c) over Most Violent Players (Togi Makabe & Toru Yano) by pinfall with a schoolboy and a handful of tights from Tonga on Makabe to retain the IWGP Tag Team Championship.

“Switchblade” Jay White over Hirooki Goto by pinfall with Blade Runner.

Enjoy the show!
