Being The Elite’s Librarian angle could be setting up an intergender match for AEW

The latest episode of Being The Elite hit today (Mon., April 22), and with it, the resolution of the saga of All Elite Wrestling’s Librarian gimmick.

Or was it...

The Librarian character was mandated by some unseen AEW authority figure, and has been treated as a “who can get this terrible gimmick” over project by the new promotion’s wrestlers/executives.

Cody Rhodes & Kenny Omega make a pact to use Leva “Blue Pants” Bates in the role. Matt Jackson & Christopher Daniels offer the position to PWG’s Peter Avalon (who long time TNA watchers may remember as EC3 foil Norv Fernum).

However will they settle this!?!?

Both Avalon and Bates have plenty of intergender wrestling experience, including against each other in southern California indie AWS last fall. Could this be a controversial addition to the Double Or Nothing card on May 25 in Las Vegas?

We’ll see. In the meantime, the episode also reveals that AEW has signed New York based tag team Private Party. Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen are from Amazing Red’s House of Glory promotion, and have gotten a lot of great reviews from fans in the area.

Thoughts?
