WWE.com

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to the Observer, not only will Becky Lynch and The IIconics defend their titles on both brands but they will have different challengers on each brand.
  • Speaking of the women’s tag team titles, the plan also still appears to be to have them defended in NXT.
  • In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer mentioned it being “obvious” that AEW would like Dean Ambrose but he’s heard “nothing in that direction.”
  • PW Insider notes that Samoa Joe is expected at Monday Night Raw next week, so the angle planned to bring him in last week should be executed then.
  • Road Dogg will be taking an “extended break” from WWE while both sides figure out what to do with him, says Insider.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below.
