If I was Dean Ambrose, here's who I would call for advice.

As we all know, Dean Ambrose will be leaving WWE at the end of April. His contract will be up, and right now, he's just working house shows to fulfill the remaining obligations he has. WWETV will be airing a final Shield match this Sunday.

I wish the Lunatic Fringe all the luck in the world. I'm sure that he's not asking Vince McMahon for advice and I'm sure that there's no chance in Hell he'll call me and ask for advice either. However, I do have a suggestion on who he should call for advice.

Matt Hardy.

When Matt Hardy left the WWE in 2010, many people thought they would never see him again in the company. Matt bounced around through different promotions and on the indy circuit. Along the way, he developed his Broken Matt persona and worked with Jeff to create Brother Nero while with TNA. As we all know, fans loved it. There's no way that Matt would have had the freedom to create those characters while under the creative control of Vince McMahon and the WWE. Eventually, the popularity of those characters is what led Vince to re-sign the Hardy Boyz and bring them back for WM 33.

If I Dean, I would call Matt for advice on how to find his way and how to create a new character that would uniquely fit him just like Broken Matt fits Hardy. It has to be original and it has to be creative in a way that fans will embrace. Matt Hardy did it away from WWE. Dean Ambrose can too.
