AEW’s Fight For The Fallen card starts to come together

There’s not much happening in the latest episode of Cody Rhodes’ The Road To Double Or Nothing YouTube series. MJF and Joey Janela are beefing heading into the battle royal on AEW’s May 25 event, we get a couple of heartstrings-tugging profiles of recruits, and it ends on a cliffhanger about who Michael Cuellari is in the farmland to sign.

In the midst of all that, Brandi Rhodes sets up a match for the new company’s July 13 show - Fight For The Fallen in Jacksonville. Despite the Chief Brand Officer’s promise to Allie there’s no bad blood stemming from their time together in Impact, Rhodes makes a call to ensure she has back-up in Florida to deal with a personal matter. Evil authority figure imminent?

In addition to Brandi vs. Allie, AEW also announced a second match for Fight For The Fallen. This one’s between Kenny Omega and OWE’s CIMA, whose signing was just confirmed on this week’s Being The Elite.

Earlier this week, AEW announced tickets will be available for July’s show in Daily’s Place Amphitheater at TIAA Bank Field this week (pre-sale on Thurs., April 18, and to the general public on Fri., April 19). Tony Khan’s company also revealed the charity partner for the event; a portion of the Fight For The Fallen gate will go to Jacksonville’s Victim Assistance Advisory Council (VAAC), which coordinates social, criminal justice, mental health and other services to crime victims and their families, such as those involved in the mass shooting at the video game tournament in the city last August.
