Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Multiple sources report WWE is planning a Shield vs. Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley & Drew McIntyre match for Fastlane. Post Wrestling says they’re currently undecided whether it will be 3-on-3 or if Braun Strowman and Elias will be added.
  • Roman Reigns and Batista are both set to be at Raw next Monday, according to PW Insider.
  • Reigns is being advertised for all Raw TV dates through early May, and several dates on the annual post-WrestleMania European tour.
  • Regarding WrestleMania booking for Roman, WrestleVotes says WWE is currently trying to figure that out “with multiple options on the table”. Plans for John Cena are also being decided.
  • Sami Zayn is “ready to return”, says Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio.
