It was a good night for Sexy Star (Dulce Garcia). She had a successful return to the MMA cage against Anali Lopez Hernandez on the undercard of Tito Ortiz vs Alberto Del Rio for Combate Americas in McAllen, Texas on Dec. 7.

Once the opening bell rang, Sexy Star came out to take the center of the cage while Lopez circled. Sexy peppered a few punches early, but the action didn’t explode until half way through the three-minute round.
Sexy closed the distance to get Lopez against the cage. When they separated, Sexy struck with a left hand. Lopez was wobbly. Sexy turned up the heat as Lopez was on roller skates. More tenderizing punches from Sexy. The two clutched against the fence, then Sexy rag dolled Lopez to the mat. Both women were on their knees with Sexy on top. She worked position to sink in a standing Gable grip guillotine choke submission. Lopez tapped with 12 seconds remaining in round 1.

That was an impressive victory for Sexy Star. The level of difficulty was beginner as Lopez was making her professional debut in MMA, but Sexy looked more focused and ready to let her hands go than when she debuted herself back in April. Sexy had planned on getting a knockout with her boxing skills, however, she’ll probably be more thrilled the win was by submission. Sexy Star looks ready to upgrade her future competition to the middle level of talent.
