Free matches here!
The Ring That Tied the Room Together
Something a little different in the free matches this week, friends, because OTT have released a documentary about their final events at the Tivoli Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, and I thought that would make an excellent change of pace. Enjoy!
Creatures of the Deep vs. Nerder Death Kill
Dear friends, if any among you DON’T want to see Nick Gage fight some crustaceans, well... I don’t know how to help you. Don’t miss it!
Invasion RCH
And last but not least, a full lucha libre show from the folks at +LuchaTV. Los Ingobernables (admittedly, with Bestia del Ring, not the best version) vs. Lucha Brothers?! Hell yeah!
Results
KBB Betrayal (Nov. 30)
- Silver Potato over 13
- Hell Monkey over American Beetle
- Powa Ranjuru over Scab
- Sun Buster over Gomiman
- Burger Bear & Dusto Bunny over Dirty Birds (Tadd Bradley & Tucor)
- Unicorn Party over Double Unicorn Dark (c) to win the Kaiju Grand Championship
Oh hey, look at that, yours truly went to another show, folks! And it was Kaiju Big Battel! This one was special because my girlfriend brought KBB up the first time we met, completely unprompted, and I like to think that it was at that exact moment that I went from “I’d like to be friends with this girl” to “I need her in my life and I never want to let go,” so when I saw they were headed to Croydon, Pennsylvania this past weekend I had to make sure we went.
And it was a rollicking good time! Kaiju always delivers a fun, high-energy show but this one, with a major title change and triumph for Unicorn Party in the main event, felt a little special even notwithstanding personal circumstances. Plus I got to tell Tucor, more or less to his face, that he’s an abomination before god, so that was fun.
(Do note, however, that results for this one are... a little sketchy. I enjoyed a bit of Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company’s, er... on-site hospitality and prioritized enjoying the night over taking results. But Cagematch’s results seemed off vs. what I remembered, so I went with my memory-- when you see something like American Beetle losing after being hypnotized by Double Unicorn Dark, you remember it!)
As always...
Remember folks, no matter what type of wrestling you like, no matter how down you feel about the state of WWE, Impact, ROH, or any other “big-time” pro wrestling, there’s something out there for you. There’s a pro wrestling product that can hit you in the right spot and make you love wrestling like you thought you’d never be able to love it again. It’s there, I promise. You just gotta reach out and find it, and that, my friends, is what the Sermon on the Mat is all about.
