It was only a matter of time before Rhea Ripley got her title match against Shayna Baszler. Now we know when.
NXT television on Dec. 18.
While the news is great for Rhea, how they got there wasn’t.
Ripley’s scheduled match with Dakota Kai turned into Mia Yim chasing Dakota around to try to get her revenge for the WarGames attack. That left Rhea in the ring alone. That’s when Shayna Baszler, alongside Jessamyn Duke & Marina Shafir, made her move.

Rhea tried to do her best Keith Lee impression, but she was unable to fend off all three women. She did her best and did it for awhile, but eventually, the champ choked her out while Duke and Shafir held Ripley in place.
