Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Expect more news like Andrade’s U.S. title win and the Randy Orton “injury” from non-televised events as WWE attempts to bolster their house show business.
  • Aleister Black, Ricochet, Buddy Murphy, Charlotte Flair and Drew McIntyre were listed as people Paul Heyman wants to “elevate” and “get over” on Raw, according to Wrestling Observer.
  • Before Raw started, PW Insider reported that Vince McMahon, Triple H & Kevin Dunn weren’t in Hartford for yesterday’s Raw and that Heyman, John Laurinaitis, Michael Hayes & VP of Global Television Production Michael Mansury were running things. Vince did reportedly show up just before the show went on the air.
