There’s always some shuffling of plans when it comes to the big winter holidays, like the pre-taped edition of Raw we’ll get from WWE on USA Network tonight (Dec. 23). But with the 25th falling on a Wednesday, and more wrestling than ever broadcasting and/or streaming into our homes and onto our devices, the Christmas schedule features more changes than usual.
Here’s what/when/where with your favorite companies this week:
WWE
- Raw airs at its normal time on USA, with a show taped last Monday (spoilers here).
- WWE Backstage will air a new episode in its regular Tues., 11 p.m. Eastern time slot on FS1, and feature Renee Young, Booker T & Christian handing out the WWE Year-End Awards. It’ll cap a Christmas Eve filled with WWE content on the channel, starting with the John Cena-narrated Wrestlemania’s Legendary Moments special at 8 p.m. and a replay of last Friday’s SmackDown at 9 p.m.
- NXT broadcasts on Christmas night as normal, with a pre-taped show (spoilers here).
- NXT UK debuts a “Best of 2019” episode on WWE Network on Thurs., Dec. 26.
- SmackDown is live from Detroit on Friday the 27th. 205 Live will have a “Best of 2019” episode on WWE Network for the second straight week.
AEW
- Dark is set to be posted to YouTube as normal at 7 p.m. Eastern on Christmas Eve. They’ve advertised a Joey Janela/Shawn Spears match.
- Dynamite is off this week
NWA
- Powerrr streams on YouTube Monday at 6:05 p.m. instead of its usual Tuesday spot as a holiday gift to fans.
Impact
- Their weekly show on AXS moves from Tuesday to Saturday for the next two weeks, and will be “Best of 2019” episodes. They’ll also hand out their Year-End Awards on Dec. 28 & Jan. 4.
MLW
- Fusion seems to be operating more or less on its usual schedule.
Ring of Honor
- Schedule-wise ROH TV is business as usual. Their latest is “Best of 2019”; their next is
highlightsfootage from their portion of the card at this past April’s Madison Square Garden G1 Supercard.
