AEW power rankings: Le Sex Gods will always be ranked

AEW is on holiday vacation, and it appears they locked up their rankings data. No updates were posted on Friday (Dec. 20). Don’t sweat it. You want rankings? I’ll give you rankings.

Time for my personal power rankings.

Men:
Champion - Chris Jericho
1. Jon Moxley
2. Kenny Omega
3. PAC
4. Fenix
5. Luchasaurus

Moxley is clearly the top contender. Omega and PAC are neck and neck. Omega gets the edge due to his recent head-to-head victory. You may notice Cody Rhodes is not on the list. Code-meister is getting the boot over his self-imposed title challenge ban. I’m kicking MJF off due to inactivity. In their places, Fenix and Luchasaurus reside. Both are undefeated in singles action and have looked impressive.

Women:
Champion - Riho
1. Kris Statlander
2. Hikaru Shida
3. Awesome Kong
4. Nyla Rose
5. Britt Baker

Statlander is the obvious top contender due to her win over Britt Baker this week. Shida is the only other lady that has distinguished herself. The powerhouse tandem of Kong and Rose stomp in next. Their wins haven’t come against tough competition, but they have looked very dominant. I wanted to put fresh blood in to finish the list, but it was like pulling teeth among a slew of losing records. Might as well turn to the dentist for that spot.

Tag Team:
Champion - SCU
1. Santana & Ortiz
2. Lucha Bros
3. Young Bucks
4. Le Sex Gods (Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara)
5. Cody Rhodes & Darby Allin

The champs are clearly the class of the division. After SCU, there are three teams that have separated themselves from the rest of the tag team roster. Santana & Ortiz get the top spot by benefiting from being a fresh challenge for SCU. Lucha Bros took care of business against Kenny Omega and Hangman Page. That is a match they should have won with their experience together, but it was also a dangerous matchup where they could have slipped up. I don’t like the Young Bucks’ attitude on television, so my bias drops them to third.

Le Sex Gods will always have a spot in my rankings, since their name is one of the most righteous in the history of professional wrestling.

Seriously, how can anyone doubt Le Sex Gods. Case in point, Le Champion riffing on the feeling cute meme.

Even the Rock wants to hold them tight.

The rest of the tag team division is a pool of mediocrity, so the unlikely duo of Cody and Darby get the nod. They proved they can work together by beating Blade and Butcher.

How do my power rankings compare to yours? What changes would you make?
