Killer Kross is already on the move with a major league

Killer Kross doesn’t waste time. He was finally set free from Impact Wrestling on Wednesday. Now, he’s set to make a major league debut.

Kross will be joining MLW for their Fightland show on February 1 in Philadelphia.

MLW

It is unclear if this is a one shot deal or a longer contract. I’d guess it to be on the short side, because MLW publicizes multi-year signings when they happen. The press release for this announcement contains no such mention.

MLW makes stylistic sense for Kross. He has competed at the Bloodsport events with their catch wrestling style, and MLW has a burgeoning list of grapplers on their roster. Davey Boy Smith Jr., Tom Lawlor, Timothy Thatcher, King Mo Lawal, Dominic Garrini, Douglas James, Simon Gotch, and Low Ki would all fit that mold of combat. Let’s not forget other top names such as Alexander Hammerstone, the Von Erich brothers, Richard Holliday, MJF, Mance Warner, and Brian Pillman Jr. Basically, the entire roster is filled with intriguing matchups for Kross.

If there is one fight we get before Kross parts ways with MLW, I really hope it is against World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu. Those two bruisers would tear the ring apart.

MLW also makes business sense for Kross. He currently works with AAA in Mexico. MLW and AAA have a new partnership that will bear fruit with the arrival of Aerostar, Drago, Puma King, and Taurus to MLW’s Zero Hour on January 11 in Dallas.

Is Killer Kross to MLW a good move for both sides? Who would you like to see Kross fight in his debut bout?
