Rush was a busy man over the weekend. He lost his ROH World Championship to PCO at Final Battle on Dec. 13. He formed a new Ingobernables crew in Mexico at AAA’s Guerra de Titanes on Dec. 14. Rush then flew back across the border for ROH’s Final Battle Fallout on Dec. 15. It was at that show that Rush expanded his Ingobernables empire to include members of ROH.
Rush knows PCO has an army. Rush has one too with Los Ingobernables in Mexico and Japan. Rush then introduced Kenny King and Dragon Lee as part of the group in ROH. King said they will change the whole game. Rush finally convinced Lee to join. Lee will be with Rush until the end as brothers of blood.
Rush now has LA Park, Killer Kross, Konnan, and Bestia del Ring on the AAA side and Kenny King, Amy Rose, and Dragon Lee on the ROH side.
It won’t be long to see if this new faction pays off in gold for Rush. He will get a World Championship rematch against PCO at ROH’s Saturday Night at Center Stage show on January 11 in Atlanta.
If you were wondering what this means for Dragon Lee’s long-term status in ROH, it appears he considers them his new home. With all these happenings, Lee also found time to get married. When ROH congratulated him, that is when he mentioned them as his new home.
Gracias (mi nuevo hogar) ROH— Dragon Lee ドラゴンリー (@dragonlee95) December 18, 2019
For fans of NJPW hoping to see more of Lee in Japan (where he wrestles as Ryu Lee), don’t fret just yet. Rush had an interview after Guerra de Titanes where he said to keep an eye out for his brother in NJPW.
Another thread in the curious spider web of lucha libre will be Kenny King and CMLL. CMLL unceremoniously dumped Rush and Dragon Lee in September. King often comes to Mexico when ROH shares talent with CMLL. It will be interesting to see if King will still be welcomed and if he flaunts his new Ingobernables status while there.
Is Kenny King a good choice for Los Ingobernables in ROH? Where should Rush open up an Ingobernables franchise next?
