Returning the favor, Omega with a hammerlock, Fenix reverses into a flying mare, off the ropes, Kenny clocks him with a hard chop. Dragon suplex reversed into an arm drag, back handspring caught, One-Winged Angel denied! Omega calling for it, Kotaro Krusher connects, electric chair, Fenix slips out and makes the tag!
Pentagon legal, Page tags in and they have a big ol’ “Cero miedo!” / “Cowboy shit!” staredown. Penta takes his glove off slowly and flashes the cero miedo, shoving Hangman in the process! Adam mocks the glove removal and piefaces him with a cry of “cowboy shit!” Trading overhand chops, whip across, front kick blocks the back body drop! Pentagon off the ropes, Page drops him with a boot and tags Omega in.
Chopping away, but Jr. refuses to crumble until they simultaneously double chop him! Fenix runs in, they fight him off, and Pentagon rakes the eyes of the Cleaner! Off the ropes, Kenny snaps a Frankensteiner out and calls for the Terminator dive! Off the ropes... TOPE CON GIRO! Fenix runs Page down on the floor, Penta calls him back in, double whip, strike combos pull Kenny to the floor and Rey dives into him! The video goes squirrelly and commentary seems confused but the match continues as the Lucha Brothers hammer away at the Best Bout Machine. Throwing Fenix into the ropes, inverted Tiger feint sets up a crescent kick and Kenny is on dream street but still able to counter a Frankensteiner into a powerbomb and hit the V-Trigger!
Another crescent kick from Fenix, he throws Kenny into his brother, who chokes him in the corner while Rey keeps referee Aubrey Edwards distracted. Omega rolls over, tag to Page! Adam cleans house, big boot, springboard lariat, he scoops up Fenix for a fallaway slam and takes Penta out with a plancha! Club and a dive, back inside and a dive on Rey! Setting Hangman up top but he gets the avalanche fallaway slam on Pentagon! Omega in, he powerbombs Fenix into Penta and throws him into a rolling elbow from Page! Pop-up into an elevated German suplex, spinebuster... NOPE!
Pentagon off the ropes, Sling Blade, superkick from Fenix, snap Dragon suplex from Omega! V-Trigger, Penta with a rolling solebutt, underhooks, Kenny on his feet, double chickenwing... BUT PENTA DODGES AND BUCK SHOT HITS OMEGA! Pentagon takes full advantage...
Lucha Brothers win by pinfall with a diving stomp / package piledriver combination on Kenny Omega.
Post-match, Kenny and Adam get into it a little and they start to shove each other when PAC appears onscreen.
He says he’s yet to receive an answer to his question and he needs to remind Kenny of just how vicious he can be. He goes backstage and finds the locker room where Michael Nakazawa is hanging out and walks in quietly, shutting the door behind him.
Omega takes off to the back and runs after him as we go to break.
Back from commercial, commentary hypes up the rest of the card.
Butcher and the Blade (Andy Williams & Pepper Parks) vs. Cody Rhodes & Darby Allin
Allin and Williams to start, collar and elbow, and Andy slings him clean off! Tag to Parks, back to the lockup, Blade with a side headlock, shot off, drop down, go behind, roll through, blast Williams off the apron with a dropkick! Duck a lariat, springboard arm drag and a kip-up and Darby is running hot! Tags made, Rhodes taking it slow and steady against the big man.
Go behind, back elbow, drop down slap but Andy decks him with a lariat! Dragging him to his feet, passing him into the corner, tag to Pepper. Up and over, snap scoop powerslam but the Butcher cuts the tag off with a big boot! Blade tags in, putting boots to the American Nightmare, tag back to Williams and a back suplex / leg drop combo gets a two count!
And so we go to break.

Passing him to the floor, back inside, stereo crossbodies and both men are down and out! Allin comes in, Yoshi Tonic but Pepper isn’t legal and Andy nails him with a backbreaker! Cloverleaf in the middle of the ring and Cody comes in to break it up with strikes! Off the ropes, Blade tangles him up and Williams goes back to work. Powerbomb lift, Darby breaks away... STANDING DIAMOND DUST!
Tag made, inverted facelock... CROSS RHODES BUT REFEREE PAUL TURNER IS DISTRACTED BY THE BUNNY! Passing Blade to the floor, babyfaces with stereo topes! Beautiful Disaster nails Pepper, Darby up top... COFFIN DROP ON THE APRON! Williams with a schoolboy, Cody kicks out, springboard...
Cody Rhodes & Darby Allin win by pinfall with a Cody Cutter (a springboard Ace Crusher) from Rhodes on Pepper Parks.

Double leg from the champ, Jack fights out of the attempt, hurricanrana for two! Chris decks him in the face with a forearm! Hot Shot over the top rope, chops, dragging Jungle Boy by the hair, whip across, Codebreaker connects!
A cocky Y2J doesn’t go for a cover, instead giant stepping over Jack and waving him to his feet, lying in wait. A second Codebreaker connects but Jericho pulls the cover up! Throwing Perry to the floor, distracting referee Aubrey Edwards while Jake Hager throws Jungle Boy into the barricade! Luchasaurus fights the big man off, Marko Stunt dives into a forearm and he’s knocked out cold!
Edwards kicks Hager and the Jurassic Express both out! Back inside, Jungle Boy snaps off an inside cradle... SO CLOSE! Jericho with a kick, drawing Jack up and chopping him down against the ropes! Whip across, front kick has the back body drop scouted but Perry gets back body dropped to the apron! Chris goes for a plancha but nobody’s home and Jungle Boy hits a suicide dive!

JACK PERRY SURVIVED THE TEN MINUTES!
The match goes to a time limit draw.
A furious Chris Jericho goes to ring announcer Justin Roberts and DEMANDS five more minutes! Nobody announces it or officially sanctions it but he goes back to the ring for more anyway.
Piefacing Jungle Boy, the champion full of disdain, but Jack goes for pinning predicaments, a rana and then a crucifix! Y2J grabs his title and walks out!
And so we go to break.
Back from commercial, Tony Schiavone interviews Chris Jericho on the stage.
Jericho claims he’s not upset, he told us Jungle Boy couldn’t beat him. Tony corrects him and reminds him that it was about Jack lasting ten minutes, which he did, but Jericho yells at him to shut up. He threatens to beat everyone’s ass, saying that Jungle Boy didn’t beat him and he’ll get his later. But the real story is about his “good friend” Jon Moxley and the question he posed to him last week about joining the Inner Circle.
He thinks he already knows the answer, but just in case he and his boys spent time in a mansion last week. He explains what a mansion is (in English *and* in Spanish!) before saying they’ve got a lot of great surprises for Mox when he makes his division. On January 2, the Inner Circle have a big surprise for him, all he has to do is say yes.
He wishes Moxley a Merry Christmas on behalf of the Inner Circle.
SCU are interviewed about their title match.
Christopher Daniels says the Young Bucks might be the tag team of the decade, but they’re the team of the year. Lucha Brothers roll up and Frankie Kazarian tells Daniels to show ‘em he’s still got “it”, but the Fallen Angel backs down to send us to break.

Statlander stays on her feet, rolling elbow... BAKER CATCHES THE ELBOW AND TAKES HER DOWN! Lockjaw blocked, Statlander stands up and hosses her up into a fireman’s carry and then...
Kris Statlander wins by pinfall with a GRODY-LOOKING wheelbarrow Tombstone piledriver to become #1 contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship.
Statlander is interviewed after the match and boops Tony Schiavone.
Brandi Rhodes appears on the stage and calls Tony out for not turning her microphone on and she says she’ll take it from here.
She wants to congratulate Kris on her win and says she comes in peace. She needs an answer-- is Statlander with the Nightmare Collective or not? Kris boops her own nose but waves the finger in Rhodes’ face rather than booping her back! She turns to see Kong and Cruise on the ramp and turns back... BRANDI DECKS HER WITH HER HEEL! Sadie Gibbs rushes out to check on Kris as the Nightmare Collective back off!
Shawn Spears and Tully Blanchard get a promo about how tag team wrestling matters in AEW and how Spears is still looking for the right partner. This sends us to break.

Post-match, the Dark Order make their entrance.
Evil Uno gets on the mic and puts the match over before saying the Young Bucks have suffered a hard loss and any other night they’d ask them to join. But tonight, it’s no recruitment, it’s about the Dark Order putting them down! The Dark Order’s goons surround the ring, including Alex Reynolds and John Silver, beating all four men in the tag title match down!
Christopher Daniels tries to make the save but there’s too many of them! KENNY OMEGA MAKES THE SAVE BUT HE’S ALSO OVERWHELMED! CODY AND DUSTIN RHODES ARE NEXT TO JOIN THE FRAY BUT THERE’S STILL TOO MANY DARK ORDER GUYS! The Dark Order continue their beatdown at length and Stu Grayson pulls a pair of masks out, which leads Uno back to the microphone.
He says he told us this was an initiation and he gives the masks to Reynolds and Silver!
They do something to Matt Jackson’s mouth.
That’s the show, folks.
