Here's a place to check results and comment along with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA)'s Into the Fire pay-per-view (PPV) - happening Sat., Dec. 14, 2019 at GPB Studios in Atlanta.
The show is available as an internet PPV here. The opening bell is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. Eastern.
We've got a preview of the card here, will update the results tonight as they happen. Feel free to use this space to discuss all the action with the best pro wrestling community on the internet - before, during and after the show.
- Joe Galli and the debuting (DECORUM, PLEASE) Stu Bennett are our commentators.
- Unlike Powerrr, we’re getting entrances with music for the wrestlers here.
- Eli Drake def. Ken Anderson via pinfall
- Dave Marquez interviewed our main eventers. The big takeaway is that the champ gave Kamille the night off because tonight there will be “no excuses”.
- Thunder Rosa def. Tasha Steelz via pinfall; post-match, Rosa continues with the beatdown until Ashley Vox made the save. Vox got more of the same, though, including getting her elbow “dislocated”. Allysin Kay may need a new partner for later.
- The Question Mark def. Trevor Murdoch via pinfall
- Rock ‘n’ Roll Express def. The Wildcards (Thomas Latimer & Royce Isaacs) via pinfall to retain the NWA Tag Team championship; the Dawsons were out with the challengers and Eddie Kingston & Homicide came out with Robert & Ricky. They got into outside the ring toward the end, which created an opening for the Rock ‘n’ Roll.
- Bennett announced NWA will be back on PPV Jan. 24, and feature the return of the NWA Television title.
- Eli Drake was back out for an interview with Marquez. He was going on about how Anderson was just a bump in the road when Ken attacked him from behind. This ended with a Mic Check onto a steel chair.
- Allysin Kay & Ashley Vox a debuting ODB def. Melina & Marti Belle via pinfall (ODB on Kay)
- Aron Stevens def. Colt Cabana & Ricky Starks via pinfall to become the NEW NWA National champion; The Question Mark was involved frequently on the new champ’s behalf, and hit Colt with the Mongrovian spike while he was battling Starks, allowing Stevens to swoop in and steal the pin
Nick Aldis def. James Storm in a 2-out-of-3 falls match to retain the NWA Worlds Championship
- James Storm wins the first fall via pin. Kamille came out and Storm hit a Last Call superkick while Aldis was jawing with her. Earl Hebner was the referee.
- Nick Aldis wins the second fall via pin. Referee Tim Storm stopped James Storm from bringing a chair into the ring, and Aldis rolled him up with a small package.
- Nick Aldis won the third fall via submission when James Storm passed out in a Texas Cloverleaf. The Cowboy’s pick for referee, Hebner, was supposed to call this fall as he won a coin toss. But Aldis took him out with an inadvertant clothesline, and it was Nick’s ref pick Tim Storm who called for the bell.
- During an interview with Marquez where Aldis put over the NWA and talked about how no one could beat him, the lights went out and Marty Scurll walked out! The two old friends stared each other down to close the show.
