Next Wednesday is shaping up to be a big night in wrestling, with both AEW and NXT loading up their Dec. 18 shows ahead of taking a week off for Christmas.
All Elite is calling next week’s Dynamite their “Winter Finale”. They’d already booked a match between World champion Chris Jericho and Jungle Boy. That’s now been confirmed as a non-title match with a ten minute time limit.
They booked two other matches with title implications however. The Young Bucks beat Santana & Ortiz in the main event on Dec. 11, and with the win earned a shot at SCU’s Tag Team championship.
In the women’s division, Britt Baker and Kris Statlander will square off for the opportunity to challenge Riho for the title on the Jan. 1 episode.
There will also be a Kenny Omega & Hangman Page vs. Lucha Bros match on Dec. 18, after Page & Omega beat Kip Sabian & Shawn Spears earlier tonight.
Sound like a good way to wrap up the year for Dynamite?
