AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR DEC. 11

Everywhere around the world, everybody’s doin’ time. Freedom comes at 5:15, prison starts at quarter to nine. It takes a hard workin’ lover to keep on towin’ the line. I’ll meet you under the covers, but first I’m going to liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with Jon Moxley making his entrance through the crowd.

Alex Reynolds vs. Jon Moxley

Mox rushes right in, laying Reynolds out, underhooks...

Jon Moxley wins by pinfall with Paradigm Shift.

Post-match, Moxley hits a Paradigm Shift on John Silver, too!

Chris Jericho and his Inner Circle make their entrance and surround the ring. Y2J gets in the ring and on the mic.

He tells Mox that if they were going to attack they would have done it already and he’s just here to have a gentlemanly conversation. The Inner Circle are impressed by Jon and as far as Jericho’s concerned, he’s the top guy, number one. But that’s no surprise, because they’ve had a long history together. A decade ago, Mox came to him looking for advice with his little leather jacket and his Kurt Cobain haircut, and Chris gave him advice to become a star, and he did.

Then they became enemies and they beat the living shit out of each other. Tacks, destruction of properly, a 50-point piece of crockery, and through that he taught Mox how to be a champion. And then when he wanted to ignite his passion for the business again, Mox called Jericho and he navigated him right here to AEW. Sure, he repaid him by laying him out at Double or Nothing, but that showed Y2J that he’s still a winner.

But he’s only just begun to realize his importance here in AEW and harnessing all his power, and once again, he needs Jericho. Can you imagine what it’d be like if Hager, Santana, Ortiz, Guevara, Jericho, and Moxley joined forces? That’s why they’re here, to ask Moxley to join the Inner Circle. Chris has an Inner Circle t-shirt in hand but says he doesn’t expect an answer tonight.

He tells Mox to take his time, talk it over with his lovely wife, his mother who Chris met and is a lovely lady, and to just imagine Le Champion and the purveyor of unscripted violence taking All Elite Wrestling over? THAT is a true paradigm shift, and when Mox is ready, they’ll be waiting. Y2J sets the shirt on Jon’s shoulder and leaves as Moxley makes a series of bemused faces, clearly dubious about Jericho’s intentions.

Jericho reiterates that they’ll be waiting as he and the Inner Circle take their leave.

We get a video package hyping up Young Bucks vs. PNP later tonight.

Commentary runs down the rest of tonight’s matches.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman gets an inset promo during Cody’s entrance and mocking him for having to team with QT Marshall tonight.

Butcher & the Blade (Andy Williams & Pepper Parks) vs. Cody Rhodes & QT Marshall

Marshall and Parks to start, but Rhodes tags himself right in. Circling, collar and elbow, into the corner, big dropkick, mounted punches, Pepper shrugs him off and shoots him off. Drop down, leapfrog, snap scoop powerslam gets Cody a two count! Tags made, QT throwing his best shots but Williams shrugs it off. Action goes to the outside, Allie gets involved, and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Butcher and the Blade are in control, Parks legal and beating Marshall down. QT wants the tag, enzuigiri connects, but the tag is denied as Rhodes gets pulled from the apron! Williams tags in, top wristlock applied, shot off, handspring enzuigiri from Marshall and the path is clear!

Butcher tags in, corner body avalanche sidestepped, Cody is so hot for the tag... AND HE GETS IT! Disaster Kick takes Andy out, moonsault lays Pepper flat... NOPE! The weight belt is off, he goes up top... SPRINGBOARD ACE CRUSHER! Allie raking the eyes, QT tags himself in, pop-up forearm to the face! SPACE FLYING TIGER DROP! Back inside, they double-team Parks, Marshall hits Cross Rhodes!

Assisted dive takes the Butcher out, QT heads up top... BUT HIS DIVING HEADBUTT ISN’T ENOUGH! Marshall fighting Butcher and Blade off two for one with forearms, but Parks hits a Stunner and Williams follows it with a wicked lariat! Suplex lift...

Butcher and the Blade win by pinfall with a suplex / lungblower combination on QT Marshall.

Post-match, Darby Allin comes storming down the entry past Butcher and Blade and Bunny to give Rhodes a hand and help him up!

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance, flanked by Wardlow as usual.

He gets on the mic and calls a member of the AEW crew into the ring. He says when Cody talked about his version of Cross Rhodes last week he saw this guy laughing. But hey, all is forgiven, all he has to do is kiss the ring. He offers his hand, and the guy kisses his ring... MJF HITS CROSS RHODES ON THE GUY! Max rants about how that looked pretty good to him.

He calls Cody Rhodes out and says he is, without a shadow of the doubt, one of the greatest wrestlers of this generation, and untouchable on the mic... with the exception of one guy. And of all the people to open his mouth about, he decided to talk about that one guy, but to quote a legend, you do not throw rocks at a guy with a machine gun, and when his mouth opens, these bullets don’t miss.

It was cute, don’t get him wrong, he enjoyed it, but he doesn’t need Cody’s crap nor his money, because he’s got enough cash to last a lifetime. No, he needs for Rhodes to suffer, and one line he said stood out. He called MJF a knockoff Chris Jericho and mocks Cody for spending all night coming up with that line, but when he hears the word fake, he thinks of Rhodes and his blonde hair that looks like a cat pissed on it.

Or his Gary Busey beaver teeth that you could land a helicopter on, or the way he cons all these fans into thinking he cares about them, but one thing IS very real-- his shitty little lisp. Oh, did he offend you? So sorry! What are you gonna do, pull Tony Khan aside and get him fired? Go ahead! But wait, he won’t, because the one thing he wants most in this world is to get his hands on him, and he’d be letting all these people that want to see them fight go down.

You want to see MJF vs. Cody Rhodes? He asks the crowd to make noise for it and gives Rhodes the match... but he’s got a couple of stipulations. But he won’t tell us here in Honkyville, Texas, he’s gonna give us the stipulations in Jacksonville. And one more thing, he knows Cody is back there like a pitbull on a leash, praying to god somebody’s gonna unleash him, but MJF’s in control right now, not him.

Because he’s better than you... and you know it.

And we’re going to break.

Back from commercial we get another Dark Order vignette, in which Alex Reynolds is watching TV in his hotel room and the ad starts addressing him directly, talking about how the Dark Order have been watching the Beaver Boys lose and all they have to do is join the Dark Order.

John Silver comes in to ask who he’s talking to, and Alex can’t give him a satisfying answer.

”Big Swole” Aerial Monroe vs. Emi Sakura

Circling, Swole wants the test of strength and Sakura plays into it. Whip reversed, up and over, cartwheel delayed mule kick. Emi uses her hair against her, hair mare and a hair whip, Monroe kicks her in the midsection and tells her not to touch her hair. Drop toehold, back rake, setting up the Romero Special and she rocks it all the way back to full extension!

Rolling around in it, shifting gears to striking, Sakura sends us to break.

Back from commercial, Swole starts fighting back, headbutt to the midsection, la casadora reverse STO, shoulder block for two! Sakura with an inverted facelock, rolling cutter, stomp stomp clap, corner crossbody sets up the Tiger backbreaker! Emi grabs her mic stand but referee Rick Knox tries to take it away and Aerial comes from behind. Cobra twist applied, mic stand in hand, and finally Knox takes it away!

Aerial gets ahold of the mic stand and busts a move before exploding out of the corner with a spear! Monroe to the apron, Sakura traps her, hanging Tiger backbreaker! Vader Bomb, looking to follow it up with a moonsault but nobody’s home! Swole with a strike rush, Sakura fires palm strikes back, off the ropes, Monroe hits a pump kick... SO CLOSE! Ripcord elbow ducked, Emi gets a cover but can’t put her away!

Ripcord on the second try...

Big Swole wins by pinfall with Dirty Dancing.

Commentary promises us that Riho will be making a title defense on January 1.

Backstage, PAC is interviewed.

He says he came to this company for one reason-- opportunity. And yet the moment he steps in the door, he faces nothing but injustice. He’s put out dominating performance after dominating performance and received a pittance in return, so he wants the rubber match with Omega or he won’t be held accountable for what happens next.

Tully Blanchard gets an inset promo about how he knows what makes a great tag team and how he thinks Spears and Sabian might be the next Arn and Tully.

”Hangman” Adam Page & Kenny Omega vs. Kip Sabian & Shawn Spears

Sabian and Page to start, circling, Spears and Penelope Ford both running interference and letting Kip take control. Forearms, whip reversed, tag to Omega. Both men laying chops in on Sabian, sandwiching him and knocking him flat on his face! Running backbreaker, only two, whip across and the heels try to start working the babyfaces over but Page has them outsmarted and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Page is fighting his way out of a two-on-one. Roll-through, tag to Omega! Double axehandles all around, Sabian with a kick to the midsection, double whip but Kenny goes low with a double dropkick! Double Kotaro Krusher! Terminator dive gets cut off by Penelope Ford! Spears hits a lungblower, Kip in with a missile dropkick for two!

Chops fired, whip across, Sabian snaps off a headscissors takeover! Kenny to the floor and back in, pulling himself up the ropes. Back body drop to the apron, Sabian lands an enzuigiri, but when he dives off the apron Page ducks him! FORD HITS A HEADSCISSORS TAKEOVER ON THE HANGMAN! Back in, Kip hits a swinging DDT... NOPE! Referee Bryce Remsburg admonishes Spears while Sabian and Ford work Omega over!

Fisherman suplex... NOPE! Kip with the Argentine backbreaker rack but Omega slips out, V-Trigger, Dragon suplex countered with a gamengiri but Kenny snaps off another V-Trigger! Slow to capitalize, Remsburg with the standing count... the lights go out! A spotlight comes up and Tully Blanchard is tied up on the apron! JOEY JANELA TIED HIM UP! SPEARS COMES AND MAKES THE SAVE AND JANELA BRAWLS WITH HIM BRIEFLY!

He manages to set Tully free but Joey attacks again and they brawl to the back! Sabian left sans partner, Omega with the Dragon suplex! Line him up... V-TRIGGER! Page tags in...

”Hangman” Adam Page & Kenny Omega win by pinfall with Buck Shot from Page on Kip Sabian.

We get a Brandi Rhodes video package wherein she asks what AEW would even look like without her, asking where Riho has been and suggesting a drinking game based around every time Dr. Baker mentions her boyfriend. Her offer to Kris Statlander still stands, and she brings Melanie Cruise out, saying the family is almost complete, and they’re just waiting for their alien to come.

Chris Jericho makes his entrance, accompanied by Jake Hager. They run Excalibur and Tony Schiavone off and take their places.

Sammy Guevara makes his entrance to send us to break.

Luchasaurus vs. Sammy Guevara

Guevara with a slap across the face, Luchasaurus throws him into the corner but Sammy explodes back at him with a dropkick. Corner forearm, springboard, nobody home, duck a roundhouse kick and a back elbow, Luchasaurus with the goozle and catching a Frankensteiner attempt after, but Guevara lands on his feet off a Death Valley Driver attempt!

Working the big lizard over, but he kicks Sammy off the top and to the floor! Luchasaurus locking him down the floor, wicked trapped headbutt and he smashes Guevara’s face into the apron to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Guevara trying to destabilize Luchasaurus with kicks, back and forth, diving, the moonsault comes up empty but he’s able to block the chokeslam. Luchasaurus with kicks, scooping him up...

Luchasaurus wins by pinfall with a swinging Tombstone facebuster.

Jericho and Hager attack but Jungle Boy Jack Perry makes the save! Perry with a hurricanrana, Marko Stunt counts the pin... if this were a match, that’d be a finish!

We get a video package announcing the next pay-per-view as AEW Revolution on February 29.

And so we go to break.

Proud-N-Powerful (Ortiz & Santana) vs. Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) (AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Texas Street Fight)

Santana, Ortiz, and Sammy Guevara attack the Bucks during their entrance and powerbomb Brandon Cutler through the stage after he tries to help his buddies!

SANTANA THROWS MATT OFF THE STAGE! He whips Nick with the sock full of baseballs as Sammy and Angel set up a table but Matt comes back and saves his brother before he gets put through it! Tombstone lift, Nick on the stage... INDIETAKER ON THE TOP OF THE RAMP! Setting Ortiz atop the table, Nick climbs... SENTON ATOMICO OFF THE ENTRANCE PORTAL AND THROUGH A TABLE BUT IT’S NOT ENOUGH!

Hammering Santana against the apron, assisted dropkick follows him up! Jawing with SCU at ringside, Santana comes in with a superkick and gets in the tag champs’ faces himself but Matt cuts him off. Right hands, trading shots, they get the Inner Circle man in the ring and he slips out of a powerbomb attempt. Madball in hand, he lays the Bucks out with it!

Wrapping a trash can around Nick’s head, they wail on it with madball and bats but Matt is wearing a football helmet and makes the save! Double spear! Santana spits in the helmet and throws it to the floor, but Matt hits the rolling northern lights suplexes on him! The last one throws him to the floor and through a table but Ortiz back body drops Matt into a table on the other side and follows it with a tope con giro that wipes Nick through a table and sends us to break!

Back from commercial, the Bucks are just wailing on Ortiz with a trash can! Matt with a diving crossbody to take Santana out, Nick perches... 450 SPLASH INTO THE TRASH CAN BUT JAKE HAGER IS HERE TO PULL REFEREE RICK KNOX OUT OF THE RING! NICK ACCIDENTALLY KICKS RICK’S HEAD OFF! DUSTIN RHODES IS THE EQUALIZER! THEY TRADE RIGHT HANDS ON THE APRON AND RHODES RUNS HAGER OFF!

Powerbomb / enzuigiri combo on Ortiz, waffling him across the face with a trash can lid! Matt draws him up, More Bang For Your Buck but we’ve got no referee to count! AUBREY EDWARDS IS HERE BUT SHE’S JUST A LITTLE TOO LATE FOR THE THREE! Santana blocks Indietaker with a dropkick, Matt finds himself two-on-one’d in the ring... STREET SWEEPER INTO THE TRASH CAN BUT NOW NICK JACKSON PULLS EDWARDS OUT OF THE RING!

She gets back in the ring and Ortiz jaws at her as Santana goes and gets a chair. Whipping Nick Jackson with the madball, they set chairs up front to front but Matt makes the save before they can hit Street Sweeper! Corner kicks, Ace Crusher into the chairs! SUPERKICK PARTY! Matt holds the chair in front of Ortiz’s face... SUPERKICK! Scooping Ortiz up... MELTZER DRIVER INTO THE CHAIRS! IT’S OVER!

Young Bucks win by pinfall with a Meltzer Driver to become #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Post-match, Matt helps Nick to his feet and they celebrate as SCU come to the ring.

The two teams jaw.

That’s the show, folks.
