The Man has come home, but isn’t immune to lame non-finishes.
When Triple H dropped his open invite for any Raw or SmackDown star to roll into NXT tonight ahead of the triple brand battle at Survivor Series, you knew they’d get some big names. One of those names opened the show.
Becky Lynch strutted to the ring to an excited crowd (though a crowd that would occasionally try to challenge the Man) and laid out a challenge to Shayna Baszler.
She got Rhea Ripley instead.

Rhea, who was just talking on Corey Graves’ podcast about how she’d like to work with Becky, gave the champ everything she had. She used her power to control much of the match, but the Man fired back.
A superplex left both women down when the match ended in the predictable DQ finish as Shayna Baszler and her horsewomen attacked both women. Ripley and Lynch fought them off and stood together in the end.
It’s a shame that the match ended with the predictable interference which has been more of the same the last couple weeks. There have been three good matches with no finishes on Raw and SmackDown the last week because of this invasion angle and tonight adds a fourth to that. That’s pretty lame.
But it was good to see the Man return to NXT after she found such success after leaving.
