AEW DYNAMITE RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR NOV. 20

My hands clench the squeegee, my secular rosary; hang on to your wallet, hang on to your rings. Can’t look below me, or something might throw me, curse at the windstorms that October brings. I look in the boardroom; a modern pharaoh’s tomb. I’d gladly swap places, if they care to dive, but right now I’m here to liveblog this pro wrestling show, folks.

The show opens with commentary hyping tonight’s festivities up.

Nick Jackson vs. Rey Fenix

Circling, playing to the crowd, collar and elbow give way to a side headlock for Jackson. Shot off, shoulder block, off hte ropes, shoulder block, stalemate! They jaw at each other, Nick off the ropes, knock Fenix down, he kips up and nails the Buck with a dropkick! Off the ropes, Jackson with a kick to the face, moonsault ducks the Tiger feint kick, jockeying for position, ducking and dodging, so fast paced I can’t keep up with it, back inside for a double dropkick stalemate!

Jawing again, Nick lays an overhand chop in and Fenix fires back. Slugfest, off the ropes, handspring headbutt, springboard headbutt, Rey running hot! Knucklelock, overhand chop, multi-jump lucha arm drag and Jackson slides to the floor for a breather! Off the ropes, Nick slides back in, 540 roundhouse knocks Fenix to the floor. Jackson signals the escalera but Rey rolls out of the way and hits an Ace Crusher on the floor!

Both men slow to rise, back inside at referee Rick Knox’s count of six. Fenix with a double jump springboard senton atomico... NOPE! Block the suplex, wicked forearm from Jackson but Rey sidesteps the charge, ropewalk maneuver misses and Nick hits kicks in the corner to set up a bulldog that spikes the Lucha Brother! Running knee, seated press... STILL NO!

Superkick attempts collide, Jackson hobbled but going for a lucha arm drag, jockeying for position and it turns into a springboard Frankensteiner... SO CLOSE! Off the ropes, Fenix stops himself short and charges in, nails the Buck with a superkick, Nick gives him two back, Rey with a closing argument to the exchange and both men are left down and out as Knox makes his count.

Trading strikes, Fenix puts Jackson on the apron, stabilizing strikes, up to the second, ropewalk... FRANKENSTEINER TO THE FLOOR! Back inside, nobody home on the moonsault and Nick comes back with a series of kicks. Off the ropes, Rey catches him with the Ace Crusher... NOT HAPPENING! Fireman’s carry, Jackson squirms out to the apron, dragging Fenix out with him, trading strikes, wicked roundhouse kick staggers Rey... EVEREST GERMAN SUPLEX ON THE APRON!

Back inside, springboard X-Factor spikes Fenix on his dome! Nick heads back to the apron as Rey staggers to his feet... SPRINGBOARD FLIP PILEDRIVER INTO A FOLDING PRESS BUT REY FENIX KICKS OUT! Transition right into the Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring... FENIX GETS THE ROPES! Upkick for separation, back elbow, pass Nick into the corner but he ducks the maneuver! Tombstone clutch reversed into a victory roll, Fenix kips up and hits a superkick!

Springboard rolling solebutt sets Nick up...

Rey Fenix wins by pinfall with a spinning Muscle Buster.

Post-match, Fenix refuses a handshake from Jackson and bails.

Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Hikaru Shida

Collar and elbow, stalemate, back to the lockup, shot off, shoulder block, a defiant Shida kips right up. Off the ropes, trading Japanese arm drags, Baker ducks a sliding knee! Jockeying for position, fireman’s carry takeover, roll into the omoplata, thinking Lockjaw but Hikaru fights her off and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Shida is in control on the floor. She sets up a chair and hits a Poetry in Motion knee off of it! Up on the apron, drawing Baker up but Britt blocks and counters with clubbing blows... SHOULDER ARMBREAKER OVER THE TOP ROPE! Back inside, Sling Blade connects, pumphandle reverse STO... NOPE! Fisherman clutch, blocked, whip into the corner but Baker sidesteps the knee!

Hikaru out to the apron, shoulder thrust blocked and Britt hits a pendulum DDT for a nearfall! Charging forearm, Shida explodes off the ropes with a knee strike! Trading forearms, belly-to-belly suplex, fireman’s carry dropped into a backbreaker... only a nearfall! Off the ropes, sliding knee... BAKER REVERSES INTO A RINGS OF SATURN! Lockjaw denied, Britt shifts position... FISHERMAN NECKBREAKER FOR TWO!

Shida with an inside cradle, no dice, Falcon Arrow... SHE DID THE DEAL BUT THE PINFALL DID NOT HAPPEN! Off the ropes...

Hikaru Shida wins by pinfall with a sliding knee.

Somewhere a man gets his glasses knocked off by some passers by before sitting down on a subway train. He sees a self-help video courtesy of the Dark Order encouraging people to join.

”Hangman” Adam Page makes his entrance to send us to break.

“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Billy Gunn vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Joey Janela vs. Jungle Boy vs. Kip Sabian vs. Marko Stunt vs. Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Pentagon, Jr. vs. Sonny Kiss (Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal)

Christopher Daniels runs interference and Chuck Taylor eliminates Pentagon from the jump! Chaos, Sonny Kiss twerking in front of the Ass Man! MJF dumps Sonny to the floor to eliminate him and poor Billy Gunn looks on in shock. Everybody except for Friedman and Cassidy gangs up on Billy and he shrugs them off before eliminating Havoc with a lariat!

He dumps Stunt after but Jimmy comes back in with a staple gun and staples the hell out of Gunn’s midsection! Havoc going staple crazy and finally referees swarm the ring to eject him before we go to break.

Back from commercial, the crowd has thinned a little and Sabian gets into it with Gunn. Billy with right hands for everybody and Orange Cassidy steps to him! Hands in his pocket... and MJF dumps him! Maxwell turns and gets into a confrontation with Gunn! Wardlow comes down to save his guy and Page capitalizes, dumping Billy! Hangman running roughshod, Taylor staggered on the apron and Sabian eliminates him!

JUNGLE BOY ELIMINATES KIP WITH A FRANKENSTEINER!

But wait! MJF was hiding and never eliminated! He dumps Jack Perry and gets even more heat!

”Hangman” Adam Page and MJF win, advancing to a singles match next week.

Post-match, MJF stirs some more shit with Wardlow’s help.

We’re informed Chris Jericho has a major announcement up next and see him and Jake Hager walking backstage when they run into the Librarians and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Chris Jericho makes his entrance.

He talks about his conduct not being conducive of Le Champion, so he wanted to come out and apologize. He tries to make his apology but the words refuse to come out of his mouth and he asks Big Hurt Jake Hager to say it for him. And to show just how sorry he is, he wanted to make a big announcement here tonight-- next week in Chicago, he’s finally going to get the thank you he deserves from AEW executives, the higher ups at Time Warner, and everybody watching.

He’s sorry that the celebration is going to be in Chicago, because they have a hockey team and two baseball teams, making it better than this place we’re at here. He’s gonna have fun and games and prizes and maybe even clowns.

Enter SCU.

Scorpio Sky gets on mic and says it takes a real man, a paragon of virtue to apologize when he’s done wrong and Jericho is all of that and more... but he forgot to mention why he threw that tantrum last week. Not only did SCU defend their titles, Scorpio pinned Y2J and gave him his first loss. Sky talks up how happy the win made him and Chris says he thinks it’s cuter than Baby Yoda that Sky thinks he can beat him but he’s a tag specialist and he can’t do it again in singles.

Y2J says he’s gonna give Scorpio a singles match... next week! Kazarian tells Sky to make sure it’s non-title and Scorpio says he doesn’t deserve a title match. Jericho agrees and ends up working himself up into making it a title match... HE SHAKES SKY’S HAND AND IT’S OFFICIAL! Sky says Jericho might not think he has a chance, but maybe he’s been waiting 15 years for this opportunity and he’s gonna turn Le Champion into Le Bitch!

WE GOT A BRAWL! SANTANA AND ORTIZ AND SAMMY GUEVARA HIT THE RING AND TURN IT INTO A MUGGING! THEY HANDCUFF DANIELS AND KAZARIAN TO THE ROPES! JUDAS EFFECT ON SCORPIO! JUNGLE BOY MAKES THE SAVE BUT GETS WIPED OUT IN TURN! LUCHASAURUS IS HERE AND JERICHO BAILS! LUCHASAURUS AND HAGER SQUARE UP BUT JAKE BAILS!

The Inner Circle bail and we go to break.

Back from commercial, Peter Avalon is in the ring for a match.

He cuts a promo about how he’s gonna turn Luchasaurus into motor oil.

Luchasaurus vs. “Pretty” Peter Avalon

A kick...

Luchasaurus wins by pinfall with a Tombstone Clutch Facebuster.

Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) vs. Proud-n-Powerful (Ortiz & Santana) (Matt Travis Memorial Match)

Santana and Kassidy to start, the EYFBO man backs him into the corner. Santana with a waistlock takedown, jawing at Isiah and we go to break.

DDT follows, deadlift German suplex into the bridge and Kassidy breaks it up! Backbreaker into a backbreaker hold, Santana with a suplex to follow, rolling through, delayed vertical, tag to Ortiz and he takes the vertical!

Letting Marq think about it at length, tag back to Santana and he takes the vertical back himself! Holding Quen up, tag from Ortiz and again they change hands! Marq flagging... DELAYED VERTICAL FALCON ARROW ISN’T ENOUGH! Ortiz rakes the back, Quen with desperate strikes but Angel shifts gears into a Boston Crab! Tag to Santana, he comes off the top with a heel kick and grabs a Camel Clutch!

Referee Paul Turner counts, Ortiz breaks at four and Santana follows with a Gedo Clutch for two! Marq kicks Angel to the floor and we go to break.

Back from commercial and Ortiz has Quen locked in a bear hug! I can hardly bear it! Marq breaks free, tag to Santana, in hot, snapping off a Frankensteiner and clearing the apron! Lining him up, back body drop to the apron, block, right hand! Kick to Santana, enzuigiri to Ortiz... ASAI MOONSAULT ON THE ERSTWHILE MIKE DRAZTIK! Inside, Yoshi Tonic... SANTANA YANKS REFEREE PAUL TURNER’S LEG TO BLOCK THE COUNT!

Marq Quen’s back gives out on a Silly String attempt! Kassidy springboards in, Angel with a Liger Bomb into a roundhouse from Santana... NOPE! Superkick sets up a hanging Ace Crusher... BUT ISIAH KASSIDY REFUSES TO STAY DOWN! Quen inside...

Private Party win by pinfall with Gin and Juice on Santana.

Post-match Sammy Guevara attacks Nick Jackson at ringside but Dustin Rhodes is here to take Proud-n-Powerful out! He wipes Guevera out for good measure!

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

We toss to a Kenny Omega video package where he talks about not being a hardcore guy and having lost sight of who he is. He traces it all back to losing to PAC, and now he’s got a chance at revenge next week.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial in time for entrances.

Allin wailing on Moxley in the aisle during entrances, over the barricade and brawling in the crowd! Jon with a back suplex over the barricade, Darby lands on his feet and leaps over the barricade into grounded punches! Fireman’s carry, Mox dumps him over the barricade and to the floor! Back inside, the match finally begins! Mox charges in, Allin gets a knee up, rolls over, shotgun dropkick! Corner forearm, Jon with a combat roll, Darby off the top for a crossbody and Moxley just shrugs him off! Moxley posing on the turnbuckles, headed over to Allin, bieling him across the ring! Jon laying in the turnbuckles, taking a breather to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Moxley is in control with a cloverleaf applied in the middle of the ring. He sits down and switches to a deathlock STS! Allin crawls... AND MAKES THE ROPES! Darby with a back elbow, roll away, back body drop to the apron, slingshot back in, off the ropes, crossbody over the ropes and Mox crashes to the floor! Jockeying for position, Darby puts Moxley into the steel steps!

Allin presses the attack, smashing Jon’s hand into the steel steps! Dropkick connects, up top, jockeying for position but Darby gets Mox’s hand trapped in the turnbuckle and steps on it! Jon knocks him back and referee Bryce Remsburg pops his finger back into place! Drawing Allin up, denied on the first try but the second hits the Crash Landing!

Darby to the floor briefly, Mox throws him back in but gets distracted by the body bag Allin made his entrance in and gets laid out by a suicide dive! Back inside, Moxley hits a lariat and zips Darby up in the body bag! Putting boots to him in the body bag and Bryce unzips the bag! Allin freed, throwing hands... STANDING DIAMOND DUST! Off the ropes... MOX HITS THE BOSSMAN SLAM!

Moxley fired up, underhooks but Darby landso n his feet on the Paradigm Shift! Posting Jon, cover... NOPE! Yoshi Tonic... STILL NO! Headed up top... COFFIN DROP CAUGHT INTO A SLEEPER HOLD BUT ALLIN REVERSES INTO A PIN FOR TWO! Charging in, Mox with a back elbow! Up to the second, Darby climbs to join hi, working the hand, Mox bites him to counter! Underhooks...

Jon Moxley wins by pinfall with an avalanche Paradigm Shift.

Mox celebrates his win mugging at the camera.
