What began as a pretty simple pro wrestling contract signing ended in a violent attack on Dustin Rhodes.
This week on Dynamite, AEW heavily hyped up the contract signing between World Champion Chris Jericho and challenger Cody Rhodes. Jericho was on his ‘A’ game as he mocked both Cody and the live crowd in Charleston, West Virginia with ease.
No tables were flipped and no strikes were thrown from either Jericho or Rhodes. The two men even shook hands after their world title match Nov. 9 at Full Gear was made official.
Then Sammy Guevara showed up on the video screen. Guevara stepped back to reveal Jake Hager attacking Dustin Rhodes in the Charleston Coliseum parking lot. Hager got the best of the scuffle and capped it off with a brutal spot where he slammed a limo door on Rhodes’ arm.

Jericho ended the scene by getting into a limo of his own while Cody tended to Dustin.
