Let’s rock with Part 1 (here) and Part 2 (here) of Conquista Total from AAA’s show in Saltillo, Coahuila. These episode were the first ones after Triplemania XXVII on the road to Héroes Inmortales XIII. It featured Fenix in a super four-way title bout, Argenis turning heel, a wardrobe malfunction from Texano, and GREEN MIST!!!
Conquista Total: Saltillo, Part 1
Komander, Eclipse Jr., & Lady Shani defeat Australian Suicide, La Hiedra, & Villano III Jr.
This trios bout was mighty fine for an opener (starting at 8:35). Luchadores were flying all over the place. Top moves were Villano III Jr. powerbombing Komander on the entrance ramp and Komander with a 630 moonsault off the top rope to the outside slightly overshooting the group below to almost land on his head.

For the finish, a series of big moves cleared the ring. Lady Shani and Villano went toe to toe. Shani connected on a tornado DDT then used a bridging suplex to win.
Poder del Norte defeat Argenis, Dinastia, & Niño Hamburguesa
The story coming from this trios bout (starting at 28:00) was Argenis turning rudo on his tecnico team. In the climax, Niño Hamburguesa crushed all three members of Poder del Norte with a running bowling ball into the corner. Argenis assisted with a teamwork Irish whip to send Niño on another bowling ball attack. The tecnicos set up the rudo bodies for a flying splash from Niño, then Argenis decided to low blow Niño on the top turnbuckle. Poder del Norte destroyed Dinastia and won via frog splash from Mocho Cota Jr. Afterward, Argenis beat up Dinastia and taunted the crowd.
Fenix Megacampeonato defense against Laredo Kid, Puma King, and Taurus
Prior to the title bout, there was a backstage scene with all four participants. Taurus approached Fenix to say the Lucha Bro is never around and it was time for him to defend the belt. Fenix agreed but shot back not to talk to the Mega Champ like that. Puma King and Laredo Kid walked up. Puma stated that Fenix has only one championship defense during his year-plus reign. Time to defend it, against Puma. Laredo wanted in on the action since he is the rightful number one contender. Fenix decided to give them all a shot in a four-way. Boom!
Taurus entered the arena with the VOZ Ultra Championship. Laredo Kid had his AAA World Cruiserweight Championship. Fenix wore both the AAA Mega Championship and the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
This four-way fight (starting at 48:00) was a runaway train of action. The pace was fire and never faltered. Aside from the standard awesome moves in each luchador’s arsenal, there were a few unique moments that stood out. Laredo hit an overhead release suplex to Fenix, who crashed into Puma hung in the ropes. Puma was ready to powerbomb Laredo, but Fenix charged in to step up off Laredo’s back and clobber Puma with a blockbuster slam. Taurus had a double slam slamming Laredo and powerbombing Fenix at the same time.

For the finish, Laredo took out Taurus and Puma with a flying tope on the floor. Laredo scurried up the turnbuckles to attempt a Laredo Fly to Fenix, but Fenix escaped and blasted Laredo with a rolling uppercut. Fenix went forth with a spinning sitdown musclebuster to win and retain the Megacampeonato.
Conquista Total: Saltillo, Part 2
Hijo del Vikingo, Myzteziz Jr., & Golden Magic defeat La Parka Negra, Dave the Clown, & Monster Clown
Los Jinetes del Aire strutted their high-flying swagger with all kinds of flippy moves in this trios affair (starting at 7:00).

For the finish, Golden Magic took to the air corkscrew-style to land on La Parka Negra and Monster Clown. Myzteziz Jr. followed with a shooting star press. Dave the Clown and Hijo del Vikingo battled in the ring. Vikingo hit a rope bouncing super hurricanrana then a springboard frog splash. Dave kicked out at two. Dave dodged a corner rush then clown-handled Vikingo. La Parka’s “Thriller” music blared over the loud speakers as he came down to the ring. That distraction to Dave allowed Vikingo the upper hand to hit a double knee and a reverse 450 splash for victory.
OGT’s defeat Willie Mack, Drago, & Aerostar
This trios contest was unofficially Team Lucha Underground vs Team AAA (starting at 27:30). Highlights were a cannonball by Drago through the ropes, a standing moonsault by Mack, and a tope con hilo by Mack.
The finish involved GREEN MIST!!! It began when Aerostar accidentally collided with Mack on a suicide dive. All three OGT’s put the boots to Drago. He broke free and spit dragon essence into Averno’s face. Super Fly responded by kicking Drago’s jewels. The referee did the three count for an OGT’s victory.

After the match, it looks like the editing skipped a run-in from Monster Clown to beat up Aerostar and extend their feud.
Dr. Wagner Jr. & Psycho Clown defeat Blue Demon Jr. & Rey Escorpion
This main event bout was no disqualification (starting at 49:00). Eterno joined Blue Demon Jr. to make it 3-on-2. The fighting spilled into the bleachers, and Dr. Wagner Jr. was bloody within the first three minutes. Texano would later run down to stack the odds again in favor of the rudos after Eterno was smashed onto a table that didn’t break from a Samoan drop by Dr. Wagner Jr. off the apron.
One notable moment was Psycho Clown accidentally pulling down Texano’s pants to expose bare buttocks.
The finishing sequence began with Psycho taking out Texano and Rey Escorpion via tope con hilo into a leaning table. Wagner hit Blue Demon with a DDT. Wagner ripped Blue Demon’s mask then used la casita pin to win.
Afterward, Taurus and La Hiedra ran down with chairs to beat up the tecnicos. The rudos stood tall to close the show.
That was a mighty solid pair of Conquista Total episodes from Saltillo. The ever elusive Megacampeonato defense from Fenix is worth making time to consume. It was odd to see Fenix have a hint of attitude about defending his title. I doubt it is the start of any heel turn, but he may need his ego checked.
Speaking of heel turns, Argenis has embraced the dark side. After that nut shot to Niño Hamburguesa, Argenis began wearing black wrestling gear. In a taping in Morelia, he took over the ring and had words for Myzteziz Jr.

The original Myzteziz (aka Caristico in CMLL, fka original Sin Cara in WWE) is Argenis’ brother. Argenis takes issue with someone trading on his family’s legacy. The bad ojo from Argenis did not stop there. He turned on longtime friends, Drago and Aerostar, when they teamed together during a AAA vs Elite event. Argenis vs Myzteziz Jr. should be an interesting feud if AAA follows through on it.
Chik Tormenta is temporarily retiring since she is pregnant. In a Facebook post, Tormenta explained that she will vacate three championships due to life beginning inside her. She doesn’t want to get ahead of herself. At the moment, the future baby is not in good condition. They are fighting together.

Best of luck for a healthy Bebe Tormenta.
We’ll close with a silly video of Psycho Clown, Lady Shani, Pagano, Dave the Clown, and La Hiedra invading the offices of YouTube in search of the Gold Play Button award for one million subscribers on AAA’s YouTube channel.
That’s a wrap for the AAA Roundup. Don’t forget to check back with Cageside Seats on Saturday for full coverage of Héroes Inmortales XIII.
