Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There is once again talk floating around of WWE doing away with the brand split.
  • Fandango, Erick Rowan, and Sami Zayn have all been at the WWE Performance Center recently to prepare for their returns, says PW Insider. They also note Kevin Owens has lost “considerable” weight since he’s been out.
  • According to WWE Network News, the WWE Network will be adding WWF Superstars from 1992 as its classic content for January.
  • Per PW Insider, Rush’s deal with ROH is exclusive only to the United States and he’ll be able to continue wrestling for CMLL in Mexico.
  • Speaking of ROH, they also say Tracy Williams and PJ Black have signed deals there, and another signing could be announced soon.
