Raw doesn’t rank

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - Impact’s Homecoming pay-per-view (PPV), the Jan. 7 episode of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown on Tues, Jan. 8, NXT UK, 205 Live, NXT & ROH TV from Wednesday, Friday's Impact Wrestling, NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from Jan. 6 - 12, 2019.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

Tokyo Dome, AEW announcement and John Cena’s return were all eligible? The Man was not impressed.

TheNextBIGThing on tenor
  • The 1/100 Ace and new IWGP Heavyweight champ led an impressive group from Wrestle Kingdom 13, but they were no match for the Lasskicker throwing Vince McMahon’s top draw of the 21st century out of the ring.
  • Also repping New Japan were the new NEVER Openweight king & the man he kayfabe & shoot concussed in the match of the night on Jan. 4, a tranquilo Intercontinental champ, and a man who stuck his knife in the Rainmaker (again).
  • Despite doing a lot of jobs in the Dome and announcing a new promotion, the only member of The Elite who got enough support to place was the one guy who hasn’t signed with All Elite Wrestling yet.
  • A couple former NJPW stars made the cut from SmackDown. The Phenomenal One did it for earning another shot at the WWE title, and the King of Strong Style for beating up the United States champ (who also placed).
  • WWE’s red brand? Completely shut out.

Where the King of Dong Style added to his total for the first time in a while, but otherwise nothing changed...

We’ll do the rest.
