It felt like Chris Jericho really wanted to break some news here.
Less than two weeks old, All Elite Wrestling continues to make waves. Whether it was their first press conference, their stacked roster or their promises to change the game when it comes to health insurance and pay, AEW has established itself as a major player in pro wrestling.
Appearing on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Jericho openly talked about a few potential TV deals for AEW.
EXCLUSIVE: "I wouldn't have gone to All Elite if there wasn't a strong TV deal on the table being worked on, and there's a couple that I know of that are on the table..."@IAmJericho on why @AEWrestling will further legitimize itself when their TV deal is announced.#AEW pic.twitter.com/yCchkQf1y5

“I wouldn’t have gone to All Elite if there wasn’t a strong TV deal on the table being worked on, and there’s a couple that I know of that are on the table and both of them are like wow. When it’s announced, if it’s one of those two, you’ll be ‘welp that’s what they need’.”
Jericho continued
“By me joining the company, I think fans and wrestlers most importantly go holy s*** this is the real deal. If Jericho went there, this is real. Because a lot of people don’t know don’t know Kenny, or Cody, or the Bucks. We know them. But your average fan doesn’t.”
Later in the interview Jericho would go on to say that AEW is in discussions with three major TV networks and all three have he power to make the young promotion ‘the real deal’.
In business of pure speculation, what three major TV networks would change the game for AEW? The former home of WCW, TNT/TBS? One of ESPN’s many networks? The renamed Paramount Network which used to be called Spike TV and was the former broadcast partner for both WWE and TNA Impact?
