Week sixteen of Lucha Underground’s fourth season will have nunchucks. Nothing else needs to be said. Get ready for the action as it airs tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network.

If you missed last week’s show, catch up with the recap and reactions, Tope 10, and a snazzy summary video from the Lucha Underground YouTube channel.

Here are three things I’ve got my eye on for this episode.

1. King Moth

Marty Martinez is Lucha Underground champion. Let that sink in. He rose from being an injury elimination in season five of Tough Enough to being a joke character in his debut to moving all the way up the ranks to Lucha Underground elite. Who knows where we go from here. Based on that photo, I think it is safe to say that creepy bastard won’t be any less creepy.

Let’s hope we get some cool scenes tonight with Marty’s newest gal pal, Chelsea Green. Her character’s name has yet to be revealed on television, but she has a spider theme. Is there any nature connection between moths and spiders?

Now that the Moth Tribe is three deep, I wonder if a gauntlet match will be coming our way. I could see the show trying to recapture the magic of Pentagon DARK against Triad ninjas in the form of Pentagon against the Moth clan.

On the topic of Marty, his championship win was profiled by Justin Barrasso on the Sports Illustrated website. Two things stuck out to me from the quick article. First, Taya was the one to suggest Chelsea Green. Second, the Destroyer she hit on Pentagon was the first time she excited that maneuver. Talk about rising to the occasion.

2. Nunchucks

When Jake Strong challenged pint-sized luchadores Aerostar and Drago, I never imagined nunchucks would be involved. How glorious! Aerostar and Drago better chop that savage down. Who needs analysis when nunchucks are involved? Let’s rock.

3. Ultima Lucha Cuatro

By my count, there will be five episodes, including tonight, until the two week event known as Ultima Lucha Cuatro.

It seems safe to say these two matches will be there: El Dragon Azteca Jr. vs Fenix and Johnny Mundo vs Matanza. Neither has been officially announced, but those are the storyline directions.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we also had Marty Martinez vs Pentagon DARK, Killshot vs Son of Havoc in mask vs mask, and a Trios three-way between the Reptile Tribe, the Rabbit Tribe, and the team of Ivelisse, XO Lishus, and Joey Ryan.

Speaking of those trios teams, Joey Ryan’s athletic thighs will be in action tonight.

I’m guessing there will be eight or nine matches total at Ultima Lucha Cuatro. With five slots taken, let’s play around with the rest of the card. I wouldn’t mind Mack vs Cage III. Their first two Ultima Lucha matchups were badass and I expect a third encounter to be no different. For that matter, hook me up with another round of King Cuerno vs Mil Muertes.

Jake Strong, Aerostar, Drago, Taya, PJ Black, and Jack Evans seem to be the only other major players with no dance partners. Time for a huge tango session.

Am I missing any likely bouts given what we have seen so far in season four? What would be your card for Ultima Lucha Cuatro?

Enjoy the show tonight at 8pm ET on El Rey Network.

Oh, snap. I just remembered that the White Rabbit could be making an appearance in the Temple this evening. Ooh, the episode is going to be good.

P.S. Nunchucks.

El Rey is available via the cable and satellite providers list on their webpage here. If one of those is your hook-up and you can’t find the channel on your box, reach out to them and ask for it. If you don’t see your provider listed or you’ve cut the cord, you can order the episodes on iTunes here and on Amazon here. Seasons one and two are available on Netflix here.

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcast, but many Cagesiders don’t partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
