Well then!
Earlier today, current ROH World Champion Jay Lethal took to Twitter with a suggestion:
Tell you what, since I’m a fighting champ who believes in Opportunities for all. How about I give the winner a Shot at the ROH world title! https://t.co/oQkL39C7NF

Not even two hours later the match was made official:

Cody & The Young Bucks may have put this thing together on their own initially but it sure looks like they’re getting plenty of help with co-promotion along the way. And, hey, why not? Any company who saw just how successful they’ve been would be silly not to try to get in on it.
As for Lethal, it was just a month ago that Ring of Honor announced an investigation into sexual harassment allegations made against him. As of this writing, nothing has come of that.
