This still does not sound like a work. Over the weekend at New Japan’s G1 Special in San Francisco legendary pro wrestler play-by-play man Jim Ross took a nasty tumble during a spot outside the ring between Juice Robinson and Jay White.
You can see the bump and fallout here.
According to Ross due to the fall he suffered bruised ribs and a bruised lung. After a trip to the Emergency Room, doctors would not allow Ross to travel to planned appearances at a Headlock on Hunger event and a Glenn Jacobs campaign rally due to possible pneumonia because of the lung issues.
On the latest episode of The Jim Ross Report podcast, JR discussed the incident and injury, calling the set-up around the ring area “inept, dangerous and unnecessary”.
JR’s commentary partner for AXS TV, Josh Barnett, would also give his side of the story.

“Yes, that was the crowning moment there. Everything happened so damn fast. As soon as that table hit, down you went. Somebody tried and go ‘you didn’t even try to catch him.’ How the **** was I going to try and catch him? You know.
Juice Robinson, 235 lbs. getting half-hatch suplexed into a steel railing into a table, you were down quick. It wasn’t just me but we were getting disrespected and that was it,”
