Rumor Roundup (May 24, 2018): Big Cass injury, Raw return, WWE signings and releases, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • On PW Insider Elite Audio, it was said Big Cass’ knee is being evaluated to determine if he needs another ACL surgery. If that’s the case, he could miss six or more months.
  • That site is again saying Jason Jordan will be at Raw next Monday. They do not specify if there are plans for him to appear this time.
  • This year’s Mae Young Classic will tape in Florida on Aug. 7 - 8, says Wrestling Observer Live. Toni Storm and Io Shirai are names being mentioned as possible participants, both by The Observer and Squared Circle Sirens’ Casey Michael.
  • E! News also has a source saying Nikki Bella and John Cena “are definitely back together”, while Nikki is believed to be denying those sources and reports in this tweet.
  • Rumor killer - there was talk WWE was holding off a round of talent releases because they don’t want stars heading to All In, but The Observer and others have said they haven’t heard anything of the sort from backstage.
