Sasha Banks is bigger than Japan

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - New Japan’s Sakura Genesis, the April 2 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's SmackDown, Mixed Match Challenge and 205 Live, NXT from Wednesday, ROH TV #341, Thursday’s Impact Wrestling, TakeOver: New Orleans, Supercard of Honor XII, all the ‘Mania week indies shows, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from April 1 - 7, 2018.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

She’d probably be IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champ if y’all had a say...

  • Not that there’s any shame in getting votes for feuding with The Hugster, I’m just a little surprised The Bucks vs. Golden Lovers match didn’t chart higher.
  • But then, WWE always does well around here (even on a week we put New Japan in the poll and eliminated the national TV bias shows that reach 50 million North American homes usually get). Which is likely why Strong Style Evolved still fell on Rusev Day.
  • Only The Cleaner placed ahead of The Lasskicker’s double duty on Tuesday, Mar. 27, or Dixie Carter’s nephew’s NXT debut the following night.
  • Matt and his bad back did manage to sneak ahead of Daniel Bryan and his medically cleared back (and spine, and head), though.

The S3: 2017 - 18, Week 52

1. Sasha Banks
2. Rusev
3. Bayley
4. Kenny Omega
5. Becky Lynch
6. EC3
7. Matt Jackson
8. Daniel Bryan
9. Kota Ibushi
10. Nick Jackson
Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.

Where The Bulgarian Brute’s late season surge continues...

The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending Mar. 31

1. Roman Reigns - 230
2. Braun Strowman - 179
3. Sasha Banks - 170.5
4. Kevin Owens - 86
5. AJ Styles - 78
6. Rusev - 71
7. The Miz - 64
8. Samoa Joe - 63.33
9. Johnny Gargano - 61.5
10. Fandango - 60

We’re not even sure what all to link to... this is late because Ring of Honor didn’t want to end... Check out our sections on Raw, Smackdown, 205 Live, NXT, Impact, or ROH and New Japan, or everything else that’s been streaming since Thursday...

Quick turnaround on this one, as voting closes when WrestleMania starts. Then we’ll have a special ‘Mania-only S3 on Monday, and the new season starts with Raw.

Phew! Good thing we love wrestling!
