Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The Observer notes that Batista was called about being Ronda Rousey’s partner for WrestleMania before it was decided Kurt Angle would be in that spot.
  • Speaking of Rousey, they also report she wants Paul Heyman to be her spokesperson but that might not ever happen.
  • The popular word going around is that Shane McMahon is likely turning on Daniel Bryan in their tag team match at WrestleMania 34.
  • The latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Samoa Joe, Jeff Hardy, Big Cass, Big Show, and Drew McIntyre are all ready to return from injury.
  • Angelico and Jack Evans have asked for their release from Lucha Underground, per the Observer. Angelico was apparently turned down.
