Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • After reiterating that their sources tell them Undertaker will be at WrestleMania 34, PW Insider’s latest says it’s “very possible” there won’t be a match between Taker and John Cena at the show, with the two instead having a “‘face off’ in a non-official capacity”.
  • The sites sources say they definitely expect something between Taker and Cena, though, because WWE wouldn’t have had Cena do all his promos on Undertaker for no payoff.
  • Sports Illustrated claims a planned WrestleMania musical segment with numerous legends, including Jeff Jarrett, involved with Elias has been scrapped because WWE couldn’t get a commitment from The Rock, who would have been “the centerpiece of the segment”.
  • There’s talk going around that Jarrett is a candidate to replace Daniel Bryan as General Manager of SmackDown.
  • The WrestleVotes Twitter account says they’ve heard Stone Cold Steve Austin could be inducting Kid Rock into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
