It’s clobbering time. Nearly two years since his first professional MMA fight and his UFC debut, CM Punk has a date for his second fight.
The UFC officially announced today (Apr. 12) that Punk will take on Mike Jackson at UFC 225. The pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday June 9 from the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

A former WWE triple crown champion, Punk walked away from the company in Jan. 2014 and was later signed by the UFC in Dec. 2014 to a multi-fight contract. In Punk’s first UFC fight he lost by first round TKO to welterweight Mickey Gall in Sept. 2016.
Now 39-years-old, Punk is matched up with an opponent in Jackson who also lost to Gall in his lone pro MMA fight.
How much has CM Punk improved since his last MMA fight? Can Punk defeat Jackson at UFC 225?
