Rumors for the Day:
- While Impact officials believe he’ll be signing a new deal with them, on PW Insider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson said he’s heard “rumblings of interest” from WWE about bring Alberto El Patron/Del Rio back to the company because “Vince McMahon just loves Alberto”
- 205 Live will introduce cruiserweight tag titles after WrestleMania, per PW Insider.
- NXT tag champ Bobby Fish suffered a knee injury at the Indianapolis house show on Sunday. The severity isn’t known yet, but Wrestling Observer says if he’ll be out for a while, TakeOver: New Orleans changes will be revealed at their taping on Wednesday.
- There’s talk of Ronda Rousey working WWE’s March 16 house show in Madison Square Garden, according to PW Insider, possibly as her first official match.
- The Observer says Rey Mysterio did not meet with WWE officials last week, but will meet with them soon. The site also reports he was scheduled to be examined by doctors on Monday for his arm injury. As mentioned here yesterday, an the diagnosis won’t necessarily kill their talks.
