James Ellsworth is coming to Joey Janela’s Spring Break 2 on April 6 and, well... just watch the hype video and get ready to mark out with me, folks.

James Ellsworth vs. Matt Riddle. What a world we live in!

The first thing I want to look at here is that the contrast here is brilliant. Bro’s been the babyface heart and soul of Evolve long enough now that it’s easy to forget how great he could be as a better-than-you ex-UFC bad guy, and his disdain for being signed to wrestle a guy like Ellsworth (not to mention his willingness to blame WWE’s ratings woes on the poor guy!) is an excellent reminder. That goes double when you pair it up right against James’ earnest “any man with two hands” babyface fighting spirit, as the announcement video here does.

Best of all, no matter which way they play this, it’ll rule. Whether it’s in the vein of Jimmy’s matches against AJ Styles, the plucky underdog against a best-in-the-world level talent desperately trying to scrape out a win by whatever means necessary, or more of an even match where Ellsworth gets a chance to really show off what he’s got against a man of Riddle’s caliber, I’m really excited for this one, folks.

And further, it’s our last match announcement for one of the most anticipated shows of the weekend, so let me do the ol’ card rundown for you real fast, folks.

Joey Janela’s Spring Break II (April 6, 11:55PM Central)

  • The Second Annual Clusterf#&%
  • Pierre Carl Ouellet vs. WALTER
  • James Ellsworth vs. Matt Riddle
  • Nick Gage vs. Penta el Zero M
  • David Starr vs. “Lightning” Mike Quackenbush
  • Great Sasuke vs. Joey Janela

So to break it down, we’ve got a technical wrestling clinic in Starr vs. Quackenbush. We’ve got a brawl between two of the best and most ornery dudes in North America in Gage vs. Penta. PCO vs. WALTER is two big lad hybrid technicians in a cross-generational dream match. Sasuke vs. Janela is two of the absolute wildest men in pro wrestling history trying to outdo each other. The Clusterf#&% is... indescribable.

And now you add Riddle vs. Ellsworth to round it out.... but that’s not all, because this is merely the last announcement! The rest of the card, however many matches that may be, is a surprise!

As well, we finally have info on how you’ll be able to get your eyes on this bad boy, as it’s been confirmed that it’ll be streaming through WWNLive.com and FITE as an individual internet pay-per-view purchase, although do note that FITE are running a bundle where $89.99 gets you all of the WWN shows that are streaming during the weekend.

There you have it, folks
