Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- WWE now believes there isn’t much to steroid allegations against Roman Reigns, according to Wrestling Observer Radio, and is moving forward with their original plans to promote his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34.
- The Observer also says Lesnar is leaning toward returning to UFC because WWE won’t let him fight in the Octagon while under contract to them again after he got bad press for his failed drug tests around UFC 200.
- Jeff Hardy did take part in “Ultimate Deletion” prior to his DWI arrest on Saturday, says Pro Wrestling Sheet.
- While Jeff’s cameo will likely be edited out, it’s not believed he’ll be punished beyond that by WWE if this remains a one-time incident.
- Speculation is ramping up for an announcement that CM Punk’s next MMA fight will happen in Chicago on June 9 at UFC 225, fueled by a recent tweet by Punk teasing as much.
