Get your Friday fix of AAA lucha libre on Twitch

If you do a funky little dance every time you think about lucha libre, then here’s some good news. At a recent press conference, Dorian Roldán, Director General of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, announced a 24/7 channel on Twitch. The plan is to live stream all television tapings and major events. Marathons of archived footage will air during the downtime.

The next live show is coming our way tonight, Friday, February 9 at 9:30pm ET from the Palenque de la Feria Nacional in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Live streaming in the world of wrestling seems to be a crapshoot. My only experience to date watching AAA on Twitch has been two thumbs up. Triplemanía XXV seemed to live stream flawlessly. I had a slight technical snag in the beginning. After I lowered the video quality option one notch, everything was smooth sailing from there. Others watching did not have that problem and viewed the event without issue. Hopefully, AAA can keep up the good work week in and week out, so we can enjoy more of Johnny Mundo clowning on Vampiro.

Friday (9:30pm ET) is also a good day for CMLL lucha libre, which Reverend Kain often mentions in the consistently informative column Sermon on the Mat. “Check it out, as always, free for nothin’ on ClaroSports or Claro’s Facebook page, folks.” Watch side-by-side and compare the two promotions!

Will easier access on Twitch make you more likely to tune in for some AAA lucha libre action?
