Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- Undertaker vs. John Cena was still planned as of a couple weeks ago, says the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, but obviously an angle won’t be shot until after Elimination Chamber, if it’s still the direction.
- Per the Observer, there’s still talk of a Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley feud but it all depends on if Lesnar decides to stay after WrestleMania.
- Seth Rollins was pulled from the Elimination Chamber match after Jason Jordan, who was also originally scheduled for it, got hurt, according to the Observer. It could be because they were going to work an angle leading to a match.
- PW Insider notes that WWE has licensed content from Impact Wrestling with Matt and Jeff Hardy for the “Broken Universe.”
- Apparently the real reason Booker T was taken off commentary was only so they could make room for Jonathan Coachman, per the Observer.
