It was already available, having taken place at the Honor Reigns Supreme show from North Carolina, which was streamed live on Friday, Feb. 9 via ROHWrestling.com, Facebook, and the FITE app. But Ring of Honor (ROH) wanted to make sure as many people as possible got eyes on Tenille Dashwood’s debut, so they released a video of just her match to their YouTube channel.
You can check it out above. It’s a cool moment for fans of the former Emma, and hopefully for women’s wrestling, as ROH investing more in their Women of Honor division - including the now ongoing tournament to crown its first champion - could lead to another televised option for performers and fans.
As far as the match goes... it’s not great. Dashwood delivers her usual solid showing, but her tag partner Mandy Leon continues to feel like a 2008 John Laurinaitis signee stuck in the middle of The Mae Young Classic. ROH’s efforts to push her as a star aren’t doing their women’s evolution any favors.
But give it a look and decide for yourself. As Tenille would tell you, this isn’t about Leon, or Kelly Klein, or Stacy Shadows, anyway.
It’s all about...
