CM Punk is taking another job in the world of MMA but not the way you think.
The former WWE champion turned UFC fighter (0-2), Punk has been named as the color commentator for regional MMA promotion Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Punk will make his debut behind the announce desk on Dec. 14 with the event airing live on the UFC’s streaming service Fight Pass.
From the press release from Cage Fury Fighting Championships.
“I can’t wait for this opportunity to call the CFFC fights on UFC Fight Pass,” CM Punk said. “CFFC has a long history of putting on exciting fights featuring some of the sport’s up-and-coming athletes. This card is going to be a lot of fun and I’m really excited to have the chance to be a part of it.”
When we last heard from Punk he was still stating he was done with pro wrestling but not done fighting MMA. With word that Punk received a full offer to part of ALL IN, the Second City Saint also reportedly had to deal with a lawsuit from his former friend Colt Cabana.
Should we take this latest career move as yet another sign that CM Punk is done with pro wrestling?
